They booked our Saxophonist for the full day meaning she performed during the ceremony in the church across the road, during their drinks reception held outdoors in the stunning scenery before a break and then back to perform alongside our DJ in the evening.
They also opted for the early setup of equipment along with our Bluetooth system so they could play background music during the day from their iPad and a radio microphone for their speeches.
Ellie & Stuart both loved to party! Their favourite holiday destination is Ibiza and they met at The Empire nightclub in Middlesborough many years ago whilst they were at University and wanted to bring back some memories of those amazing times in their lives.
We kicked off the evenings entertainment with some funk and soul classics such as Luther Vandross, James Brown and The Average White Band whilst the guests enjoyed the amazing views in the sunshine outside the Tipi.
Before we knew it it was time for the First Dance and the song they had chosen set the tone for the rest of the evening… Klingande – Jubel! And of course the Bridge & Groom were joined on the dance floor by our saxophonist.
Straight after the first dance and it was into some of the biggest house tracks from the last 12 months including Martin Solveig – Intoxicated, Sigala – Easy Love and 99 Souls – The Girl Is Mine.
There was quite a lot of older family to cater for as well so we dropped in some classics such as Stevie Wonder – Superstition, Arthur Conley – Sweet Soul Music, Earth Wind & Fire – September and Chuck Berry – You Never Can Tell.
Once we had worn out the older guests and the evenings buffet had been cleared we decided to give Ellie, Stuart and their friends the chance to relive their days as University Students when they partied at The Empire in Middlesborough and did a huge retro house set featuring N-Joi – Anthem, Jinny – Keep Warm, K Klass – Let Me Show You, Pulse – The Lover That You Are and Gat Decor – Passion alongside some huge current tracks such as Format:B – Chunky, Hannah Wants – Rhymes and Riton – Rinse & Repeat… all this time our saxophonist was in the middle of the dance floor freestyling along with the DJ.
We were due to finish at 1am but got a little carried away with the atmosphere and actually ended up finishing at 1:45am with their requested last dance of Miguel Campbell – Something Special and all the guests up on the dance floor.
