Thursday 23rd May saw York Explore hold the Adult Learners Week Awards and Club Class Entertainment were very proud to supply full event production for the second year running. We supplied a 12m x 3m starcloth backdrop, a full PA system consisting of 4 x QSC K12 Loudspeakers, some small staging along with a lectern and projector screen to show the actual awards.
There were 28 nominees, shortlisted across 9 categories and our personal highlights were Older Learner of the Year which went to Rosemary Dorins an 81 year old retired teacher who has attended an Art class at Fulford School for over 12 years. Also Mark Bramwell who has suffered personal tragedy and battles dyslexia had his achievements recognised and won the Most Improved award. Mark gave a great speech, truly inspirational and gave an amazing insight into just how much dyslexia and personal tragedys can affect somebody.
