If you are currently planning your Wedding there are likely to be some disagreements over many things from venues to flowers to cakes and maybe even which guests to invite… but what about the first dance? The first dance is a very meaningful part of your Wedding Day and many couples will face a dilemma when it comes to picking just one song.
Ian Laverick from Club Class Entertainment who provide bespoke Wedding Discos in York advises “Some couples will have an ‘our song’ that they associate with a happy memory or occasion that occured during the course of their relationship, it could be the song they first danced to in a nightclub, maybe from a concert where they want to watch their favourite band, whatever the song it should be important to you both”
A recent craze has seen a lot of couples start off with a traditional first dance song which then skips and stops, the bride and groom look to the DJ in shock, the DJ looks in a blind panic and the guests being to boo! All of a sudden from nowhere the music kicks back in and the bride and groom carry on dancing. Except now it’s a montage of well reharsed dance routines and 15 second edits of classic songs with well known dances. You can see an example here.
If that all sounds a bit mad then don’t worry because below we have put together the Top 20 First Dance requests from our 2012 Wedding Discos;
